New fiction!

After a very long time away from publishing short stories, I've got a short short in the latest issue of The Walrus. It's part of a segment called Noir Canada:
The noir novel has long been a staple of urban American fiction. But what about Canada? The Walrus asked Canadian novelists to sketch their cities as grittier, sexier, and darker than you might ever have imagined . . .
Mine is set in Vancouver, naturally. See if you can guess the location.
