It's been brought to my attention that my book is already on sale at Amazon.ca for something like 100% off the suggested retail price even though the item itself has not yet hit the presses. What byzantine publishing logic makes this possible, I have no idea.

Who bought David Sedaris's Me Talk Pretty One Day last week on a trip to the the amazing and densely packed Henderson's bookstore in Bellingham, WA. Before Christmas, I met this other David Sedaris fan at a party who told me about an absolutely hilarious This American Life piece. About six minutes into "Music Lessons," David Sedaris sings the Oscar Mayer wiener jingle in the voice of Billy Holliday. Really, save this link for a day when you're feeling like a troglodyte. I laughed so hard my abs went into spasm.

Curse you, Blogger!

Since the completion of my edits, writing of any kind is like facing a sinkful of plates shellacked with dried egg yolk. Not only that, but since I switched to FTP, there's been no end to the problems with Blogger. Sorry about that. Once I heave it out the window I'll be back...
